Injury Blow For Chairboys

Wycombe Wanderers striker Steven Craig will miss the club’s League Two festive fixtures through injury.

The 32-year-old has been ruled out for six weeks after pulling his thigh in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe, a severe blow to manager Gareth Ainsworth’s preparations ahead of a busy fixture list over the Christmas period, which include games against playoff contenders Newport County and Fleetwood Town.

Ainsworth was also forced to replace Paris Cowan-Hall during the clash against the Iron and the former Plymouth Argyle man will need to undergo further assessments to determine the extent of his knee injury.
