Skrill Premier side Dartford have signed goalkeeper Tommy Forecast on a month’s loan deal from Conference South club Chelmsford City.

27-year-old Forecast started his career at Tottenham Hotspur and, during his five-year-spell with their youth set-up, he helped Spurs reach the FA Youth Cup semi-final. However, Tommy couldn’t make a breakthrough into the first-team at White Hart Lane and decided on a move to Southampton for an undisclosed fee in July 2008.

He was subsequently loaned out to Grimsby Town where he made his made his full professional debut in the Football League against Crewe Alexandra in a 4–0 defeat. At the time Forecast’s debut was described by The Crewe Chronicle as “one of the most shockingly inept displays the Football League has ever seen”. The Mariners sent Forecast back early from his loan spell after failing to impress in his four games with them.

The 6`5” custodian has also turned out on loan for Eastbourne Borough, Thurrock, Bromley and on 20 July 2012 Gillingham in a season-long loan deal. Southampton later confirmed on their website that Tommy Forecast would be released in the summer but despite only playing 4 times whilst on-loan with the Gills, Forecast was offered a permanent contract by Gillingham at the end of the season.

On 11 August 2013, Forecast signed for Chelmsford City, after he appeared for the Clarets in a couple of pre-season games – against Norwich City and Heybridge Swifts. Forecast will be added to the Darts squad for this weekend`s FA Cup tie at Ebbsfleet.
