Three Made Available For Loan At Gateshead
Gateshead have made three players available to go out on loan, striker Richard Brodie, left-back Dan Smith and wide man Marcus Maddison are the players being made available by manager Gary Mills.
The former Conference Golden Boot winner, joined Gateshead in the summer from Crawley Town for whom he had joined from York City three years ago in a £275,000 deal. 26-year-old Brodie recently returned to Gateshead after playing eight times on loan for Hereford under former York boss Martin Foyle.
Smith and Maddison both joined the club in the close season, Smith was brought in by his elder brother, and then Gateshead manager, Anth Smith but picked up a knee injury which required an operation. The 27-year-old, has played top flight football in both of the English and Scottish leagues with Sunderland and Aberdeen, he played in Tuesday’s behind-closed-doors game at Sunderland.
Pacey winger Maddison, 20, who signed from St.Johnstone having come through the ranks with Premier League side Newcastle United and also played at the Academy of Light.
