Staines Town 1-1 Aldershot Town

By on July 24, 2013

After more than three months of the club entering administration after relegation from the Football League, the 2013/2014 pre-season campaign started as usual for the club with a 2-1 defeat to Eastleigh last Saturday and Staines held the Shots to a 1-1 draw at the Wheatsheaf Stadium last night.

Gaffer, Andy Scott named six different names in the starting eleven with Alejandro Rebollo, Nick Grosvenor and Matt Patterson all being named within the starting XI.

Glenn Wilson was also given a start after spells with Crystal Palace, AFC Wimbledon, Rushden & Diamonds, Kidderminister Harriers, Crawley Town, Fleetwood, Woking, Gateshead and Salisbury City along with returning left back, Anthony Tonkin. Tonkin was one of the many players made redundant after the club entered administration due to players and staff went unpaid for April.
