Jimmy Ghaichem Boost For Frickley Athletic

By on January 14, 2013

Jimmy Ghaichem has signed a contract with Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Frickley Athletic until the end of next season.

The 28-year-old rejected an offer from leaders North Ferriby United recently after they made a seven-day notice of approach. Ghaichem has now committed his immediate future to the Blues.

Ghaichem joined the club from Barsis Northern Counties East Leaguers Scarborough Athletic in the summer and has previously played at Parkgate, Harrogate Town, Alfreton Town, Worksop Town, Buxton, Peterborough United, Sheffield Wednesday and Mansfield Town.

The news of Ghaichem signing on a contract follows the news that club captain Matty Bloor has also signed until the end of next season as manager Karl Rose works to secure his squad a place in the Premier Division next season.

Jake Picton has also recently turned down the chance to move another NPL Premier Division club, after also being the subject of a seven-day notice of approach. Whilst top scorer Gavin Allott has turned down several offers from other clubs to remain with the Blues.
